              A little boy came
with his class down to our preschool room, the end-of-day pickup
point for parents, at around 5:30 this afternoon. One of the teachers
in his afternoon class had painted children's faces, and this boy's
had very creative orange and black lines that I thought represented
          a tiger.
The boy's dad came a little while
later. Enthused, I greeted the father by shouting, "Oh! Alan's s a tiger!"

The dad laughed a little sheepishly and
said, "Yes!" He was able to agree with me wholeheartedly, without even
          having seen his son's face.
